EXHIBITION PROGRAMM
Demonstration of hardware, equipment and technologies of the leading domestic and foreign producers, seminars, conferences, presentations of companies and projects.
“Human and Forest” Forum dedicated to rational use of wood resources, current condition and outlook for perspective development of timber industry complex both of Tatarstan and Russia. Among participants are the members of the Government of the Republic of Tatarstan, heads of the ministries and departments of the Republic of Tatarstan, representatives of other Russian regions, heads of lumber industry enterprises.

EXHIBITION CHARACTERISTICS
WOODWORKING is the largest in the Volga Region exhibition of technologies, equipment, machines, instruments, raw and production materials for lumber industrial complex and furniture industry, as well as finished products of lumbering and woodworking. In 2009 enterprises from 25 Russian cities as well as representatives of the CIS and non-CIS states took part in the exhibition.
On the open grounds there was a demonstration of woodworking machinery at work.
The exhibition was visited by the specialists of the lumber industry not only from the republic, but also the neighboring regions, such as Kirov, Ulianovsk, Samara, the republics of Mari El, Chuvashia, Udmurtia, Bashkiria.

MARKET CHARACTERISTICS
Woodworking industry is one of the most important sectors in the economics development of Tatarstan.
Within the framework of the law of the Republic of Tatarstan "On the use of woods in the Republic of Tatarstan" it is planned to establish new enterprises for deep processing of timber, the use of low-grade wood as a source of additional energy through the promotion of equipment that runs on waste wood, the establishment of seed systems in the country through implementing of the "model" forests project, as well as promotion of investment attractiveness of the republic’s forest industry through establishing new wood processing plants, factories for the production of wooden building structures and technical re-equipment for the sawmilling and wood construction.
The building sector of the republic, occupying a leading position in the republic’s economy, creates more favorable conditions for the ongoing growth of the market for woodworking industry.

VENUE
Kazanskaya Yarmarka OJSC is one of the biggest and dynamically developing exhibition centers of Russia.
It is the member of the Russian Union of Exhibitions and Fairs (RUEF), Nizhniy Novgorod, and the Global Association of the Exhibition Industry (UFI), Paris. The Quality Management system of Kazanskaya Yarmarka OJSC is certified to meet the ISO 9001-2000 International Standards. On the territory of the exhibition center there are 3 pavilions of 6700 square meters of gross exhibition space, a pavilion for receptions and VIP-class presentations and a business center. The total area of the exhibition complex is 12,1 hectares.
